It's strange to think we're at the end of another decade. Below is a picture of things that the BBC say sum up the past ten years.
It's always good at these times to look back and then look forward. What have been the defining moments in your life this decade? What have you got to thank God for? What lessons have you learnt for the next ten years? What do you aspire to be on your portrait of the next decade? As we look back on our lives we see God's faithfulness. As we look forward to our lives we see where our faith is pointing us. Don't be afraid to dream big dreams for your next decade because "with God all things are possible!" (Matt 19: 26)
What a weekend! If you're not battered, bruised and completely exhausted then you probably weren't with us on Brickhill Youth's weekend away.
Thanks to everyone who came and made it such a great time. A special thanks goes to Luke Davydaitis for some amazing teaching, Steve & Rachel Quayle and Katy Ryland and all of the youth serving team. The chefs rocked too!
Young people came back having caught a higher-definition view of God's glory, learnt more of the heart of Jesus and known His truth setting them free. Watch this space for some video footage, downloads of the talks, and for lives changed for ever by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord!
Last Friday we had a couple of the elders and wives come into to 14s-19s Brickhill Youth. We gave everyone the opportunity to text in literally any question they wanted to ask and the response was fantastic.
Here are a few of of the texts:
Should women be in leadership?
Muslims say our bible is corrupted- how do we know it's true?
Why wasn't God there during the genocides?
Why are we alive?
Could God forgive the devil?
How can we best explain the big bang/evolution/dinosaurs?
There were also some slightly different questions asked too:
Who would win in a fight: two angry bears or a truck load of squirrels?
What was your most embarrassing moment?
What first attracted you to your spouse?
How are babies made?
People also wanted help with real stuff in their own lives too:
Is it wrong to smoke?
How far should I go with my boyfriend/girlfriend?
What was the hardest thing you dealt with as a teenager and how did you deal with it with God?
What are your top tips for being an elders wife?
It was a great night and we couldn't get through all the questions that were asked. Watch this space though and we'll try and post some answers to some of these questions in the new year. If you didn't get your question answered then feel free to email

We are delighted to announce that Joshua John Gannon was born on Wednesday the 18th November at 00:38. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and is lovely! Sam was a hero and mum and baby are both really well if not a little tired. Thank you so much for all your love, prayers and support.
Some people will do anything they can to get the youth to remember a point from their talk. Some people will come up with any excuse to throw ice-cold water over me. Dan Curzon managed to combine both in his talk at 11s-14s last Friday. Well done mate- just watch out for my revenge!
I don't know what you spend most of your time looking at on the Internet (if it's farmville then you need some help) but a great way to let technology encourage your relationship with God is to read blogs (short for web-logs so I'm told) from some great Christian guys.
One I am wholeheartedly recommending is from Luke Davydaitis. (The guy who preaches a lot at church and used to lead Brickhill Youth)
Recent posts from him include comments on football, getting married, a review of the recent Newday 2009 album and loads of other stuff. It's pretty great and on his site there are some recommendations of some other blogs to look at too. (Nicely called "Top of the Blogs")
Click through here and have a read, bookmark it, and check it out regularly to help feed your heart and mind with some great stuff (that farmville won't do!).
