Why do we forgive?

It’s required by God (Matthew 6:14-15)
It’s essential for our freedom (Matthew 18:21-35)
Because of our debt (Luke 6:36)
To avoid giving Satan an opportunity (2 Corinthians 2:10-11)
To stop the pain

What is forgiveness?

Forgiveness is for our own benefit. It’s not about who was right or wrong, but about clearing the rubbish out of our lives.
